ZAP! That’s the sound of another month evaporating.
I’m noticing time and ‘busyness’ differently lately. Watching the ebbs and flows of energy in my body and mind and being more intentional (or maybe give less fuqs) with where I put my time (ie: not bothering with posting on social media, except to declare that I CBF).
Always ‘lots happening’ just less pull to share or announce it.
Maybe its because there is so much constant noise and jostling it all blurs into white fuzz. AI continues to dominate practically everything, and I flip-flop between raging against the literal machine and leaving humanity to work it our for themselves in a huge Darwinian style game.
If you’re a school that needs support on with this – I’ve also got a new preso for parents of teens with practical support on this – keep scrolling to read more.
THE GOOD NEWS: amongst the doom 🗞️
I’m stoked to be a part of the team who has been awarded a $200K grant from Multicultural NSW. The 🕊️ PEACE OF MIND 🧠 project will train young people across Western Sydney to become peer facilitators of intercultural discussion groups and listening circles. My role is to provide co-design and adapt my DigitalNutrition curriculum for CALD young people so they can teach digital resilience and online-upstander skills to their peers!

👆🏽The part that stands out to me is the fact that when parents think social media is off limits that they start having less of a clue about what kids are doing online. So its like if the lifeguards think the pool is banned, they go off duty (even though that pool fence is still broken and kids are getting in and swimming…). 🛟

GRAB THE POPCORN: TV and films 🍿
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is my current ‘show’ (now that I’ve finished Shrinking). It’s a bit freaky (I am a big sook when it comes to over empathising with characters on TV shows), but a cool look at cam-culture mixed with a bit of a Promising Young Woman vibe.
