Impacts of screen-based media use on social skills and language acquisition.
Week Three
Principles of positive digital parenting and building healthful digital habits.
Week Four
Selecting appropriate apps and games for your child and setting up technology use agreements.
Learning outcomes
Participants will learn:
- To understand the positive and negative impacts of screen-based media use on infant, toddler and pre-schooler brain and language development.
- To build the skills to identify and appraise appropriate apps and games for toddlers and awareness of parental technology use behaviours that impact behaviour.
- How to apply the principles of healthy technology habits and a balanced relationship with devices, apps and games.
- Practical ways to create a technology use agreement with your family
